Feb 3rd-7th.Dartmouth Comedy Festival.

April 9th-11th.10am-6pm. Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink.
The region's finest food and drink festival is back with three sumptuous days of delicious treats from over 100 regional producers, celebrity chef demonstrations and Food is Fun workshops for all to enjoy.

April 16th-18th.Crediton Folk Weekend - Early Spring Festival Cheriton Fitzpaine, Devon.

April 21st-24th Crime Writers Festival Torbay.


May 1st-9th. Plymouth Barbican International Jazz and Blues Festival.

May 1st. Great Torrington Carnival celebrated all day in the town

May 1st-10th Blackawton Beer Festival

May 2nd.12:00 - 16:00. Blackawton Worm Charming International event! Adults and children compete to extract the greatest number of worms from their dedicated one metre square patch of grassland but they have to do it without digging up any of the turf!

May 3rd Ivybridge Horse Show and Family Dog Show

May 4th-9th Modbury Fair Week

May 7th, 8th & 9th. Dart Music Festival Venues all over Dartmouth.

May 20th-22nd. Devon County Show Westpoint Arena, nr Exeter. May 21st- 28th.Dartmouth Gallery Week in 12 different galleries.

May 21st-24th.Totnes and Dartington Open Studios. All venues are based in Totnes and Dartington and within their respective locality are in easy walking distance of each other. Maps and information are available from Totnes Tourist Information, the Mansion and from many outlets in the area.

May 22nd- 29th. Crediton Festival. A community festival celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the first cathedral in Devon at Crediton.

May 22nd- 31st. Brixham Heritage Festival

June 1st.-30th.North Devon Festival 2009. Barnstaple The North Devon Festival is rapidly establishing itself as one of the key UK festivals. It is a celebration of the rich and diverse cultural life in North Devon, with a wide range of activities that reflect the character of the region.

June 5th-7th. The Contemporary Craft Fair. Mill Marsh Park, Bovey Tracey.

June 6th.The Shetland Round Britain & Ireland yacht race 2000 nautical miles around the UK coastline starting in Plymouth.

June 7th. Vintage Vehicle Rally Seaton Tramway.

June 10th-20th. Babbacombe Festival which is now in its third year and consists of lots of events for all age ranges throughout the twelve day period. The events are held within Babbacombe and St Marychurch in Torbay. Babbacombe Website

June 13th.-14th. Creditons First Food Festival Creditons first ever food festival will include cookery demonstrations, with local chefs and a possible celebrity chef, food stalls with local producers, including some of our farmer's market producers and much more…

June 18th-20th.Teignmouth Folk Festival.
Folk festival in Teignmouth with numerous acts over three days with a fantastic atmosphere.

June 18th.-20th. Kingsbridge Music Festival A mixture of jazz, rock, pop, blues, folk and classical artists playing every day at about 5 venues around the town with main concerts by the quay all FREE!

June 19th. -20th. Honda 4 Stroke Powerboat Race, Plymouth Sound.

June 20th. Race For Life. Plymouth Hoe.

Jun 20th. 2009 Salcombe Gig Regatta.

June 25th.-July 11th. Exeter Summer Festival The highlight of the city's cultural calendar, Exeter Summer Festival has a sensational line up of international, national and local artists each year. Within the genres of Comedy, Classical, Dance, Family and Free, and Contemporary and World Music, there are usually over 40 events.

July 25th. Totnes Agricultural Show. Berry Pomeroy Totnes. The Totnes Show is the biggest one-day show in the country. It is a celebration of everything rural with demonstrations or rural crafts by blacksmiths, thatchers and the sale of local food and drink.

June 26th 27th. Axminster Festival of Gardening & Crafts.

July 27th.-Aug 3rd. Torbay Carnival Week. This ever popular carnival week returns to Paignton Green for its 101st year! There will be plenty to keep you entertained, including the Carnival Procession.

July 30th-Aug 6th.Sidmouth Folk Week. The best of folk music, dance and song in a holiday at the seaside in East Devon. Concerts, dances, ceilidhs, dance displays, crafts, workshops, sessions, street theatre. Something for all the family with lots of special events for children.

July 31st - Aug 7th. Sidmouth Folk Week A chance to see some of the UK's best Folk acts here in Devon! Watch some of the most moving concerts, ceilidhs and displays at Sidmouth Folk Week!

July 31st.-Aug 2nd.Torbay Steam Fair.Churston Village, Torquay. Steam working and vintage gathering - steam demonstrations, traction engines, vintage cars, commercials, moterbikes, military tractors, stationary engines, fairground rides and more!

Aug 1st. Shaldon Water Carnival. Shaldon Water Carnival is special. It has a 47 year history, the parade of decorated boats, painstakingly created by residents and businesses is unique.

Aug 1st.Kingston Fun Day. Kingsbridge. Children's Races and Assault Course, Cream Teas, Coconut Shy, Music, Magician, Hog Roast, Small Pet Show, Vintage Bus Rides, Greasy Pole Competition, Village Stocks, Tombola, Beer Tent and Refreshments .

Aug 2nd.- 7th. Salcombe Yacht Club Regatta.

Aug 5th. North Devon Show. Great Torrington North Devon. See the animals, craft, food & trade tents at North Devon’s premier agricultural show.

Aug 6th. Honiton Show.

Aug.8th-14th. Beer Regatta Week.

Aug 9th.-15th. Salcombe Town Regatta Activities on and off the water for all the family including duck race, balloon race, water and land treasure hunts, rowing, children's sports and disco.

Aug 10th.-11th. British Fireworks Championships. Plymouth Hoe.

Aug 11th.-12th. Rolex Fastnet Race Finish, The Hoe.

Aug 14th-16th.Plymouth Flavour Fest, City Centre.

Aug.14th-15th. Classic Motorshow. Old Forde House Newton Abbot.

Aug 15th.-22nd. Dawlish Carnival and Air Show Dawlish Carnival is one of the - if not the - biggest event of it’s kind in the South West of England.With over 10 events running each day throughout the week from 10.00am onwards it really is a show that is not to be missed!

Aug 15th. International Lighthouse Day Smeaton’s Tower

Aug 16th. 2009 Frogmore Regatta.

Aug 18th. Orange rolling in Totnes. It wouldn't be summer without a strange tradition or two - in this case, the odd spectacle of watching people race and chase oranges down a steep high street in Totnes, South Devon.The tradition reputedly dates back to the day Sir Francis Drake bumped into a delivery boy, causing him to spill his fast-moving fruit down the hill.

Aug 21st Cornwood Agricultural & Horticultural Show.

Aug 23rd.-31st. Shaldon Regatta.9 days of 120 events to take part in, watch and enjoy on the river and beach where the Shaldon to Teignmouth ferry lands.

Aug 26th-28th.Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. Dartmouth regatta is a huge extravaganza with air displays, music, rowing, tennis, running, yacht races, children's activities, a fun fair, fireworks, plus much, much more for the whole family.

Aug 27th. Ilfracombe Carnival.A procession of Walkers and Floats through the town makes this an evening to remember.

Aug 30th-31st. Honiton Hill Rally.

Sept 4th.-13th. Totnes Festival. Totnes celebrates its unique culture and heritage with the second Totnes Festival.

Sept 25th-26th.American Car Show at Bellamarsh Meadows Kingsteignton

Oct 24th. Auto Jumble to be held in Newton Abbot Cattle Market
